School of Dogs’ methods are based on positive reinforcement. We teach new tricks and behaviors using a tool called a clicker. The clicker marks the desired behavior and promises the dog a reward, equivalent to a paycheck. By itself the sound of the clicker is just a neutral click without value. Paired with treats the clicker becomes a very valuable and efficient tool in the process of training. Quickly your dog will be able to determine which behaviors are rewarded and therefore worth continuing.
